I realize it has been months since my last post here, but I have been posting for another blog. Blogspot and I were having issues with password and google changes, but I think they are all resolved. I love this venue, and I hope to continue it for years to come.
Here's today's post. Please enjoy!
Someone told me the other day that
when he first saw me, he knew I had it all together.
Hmmmmm.
Really?
Do I really come across that false?
I hope not.
If you happen to see me in the park,
walking the trail, laughing at a squirrel running up a tree, or just panting
from a long jog,
You may think I have a rather care free life.
You may see this makeup free,
ponytailed, 51+ single mother of three and think,
Gosh, she definitely has it all
together.
Her life must be easy.
Her road to “all together-ness” must
have been awesome!
Ha ha. Seriously though.
Well, I’m here to tell you,
YOU
ARE
DEAD
WRONG.
You wouldn’t know, from a casual
glance or encounter, that my life, although
PRETTY
FABULOUS
has travelled down a road of great
resistance
and
struggle.
A road of growing up with an atheist,
abusive father.
A road of being the youngest of five
surviving children
With an identical twin that passed
away.
Leaving that ever present gnawing of
a vacancy of what could have been.
A road of a very lonely childhood
Followed by
A very lonely youth
Young adulthood
Marriage, and
Single Parenting.
A road of betrayal
False accusations
Five miscarriages
A Sick daughter
Cancer, and
Unfulfilled Dreams.
Ah…..but I wouldn’t necessarily want
you to know all that.
Not just then….
From that same casual glance,
I
would
Want you to know
My life is
PRETTY
AWESOME
NOW!
Exclusively
Because
of
…….Mercy……..
……..Salvation……….
……..Grace………..
……..Love………..
……..Faith………….
……..Family…………..
JESUS!
Yeah.
It really is THAT simple.
You wouldn’t see the scars from the
childhood
marred by abuse,
But you ALSO wouldn’t see
The woman with a tender
heart towards children

and abused women.
One that holds no angst towards
oppressors,
But only wants to help those who need it.
The heart that rejoiced
when her ‘gangsta card holding’ father accepted Jesus
just one breath
before his
last,
thereby sealing the miracle God promised her family when she was young.
Or the heart healed by grace from
many years of
betrayal,
false accusations.

Both of these have given me a
heart
for those who
desperately seek a miracle of heart
Or salvation of a loved one.
Or salvation of a loved one.
You wouldn’t have the opportunity to
Fully Experience
the heart of one who misses someone she barely knew,
but
somehow knows that person intricately.
The heart that rejoices with others
when
their loved ones are called home,
knowing they will experience their fullness
of joy of a reunion
many years sought after.
many years sought after.
Unless we could sit down for a long
chat over a cup of coffee,
you would never see
the heart that aches with those
who are falsely accused within the Body,
the heart that yearns to help the
barren wife, or the unwed mother.
You wouldn’t visibly see
the scars of a
daughter who struggles daily,
yet knows she is living her
witness the
joy of a physical miracle of healing
when everyone said
" It would NOT be."
When
people disbelieved
questioned God’s faithfulness,
at the eleventh hour,
and heal me of my physical ailment.
And yet,
I still grieve with those whose earthly bodies are struggling
with the big “C."
I don’t understand
why they are.
I don’t understand
why God chose to heal me
instantaneously
while others continue to suffer.
There are some things we are just not
meant to understand.
Nor are we to question God about
them.

And I don’t.
And the list goes on.
And on.
And on.
What you would see is
Saved by Grace.
Healed by Grace.
Living in Grace.
Walking in Grace.
And THAT, my dear, is
exactly what I would want you to see.
A walking testimony of God’s
goodness.

Of His faithfulness.
And of His Grace to me!
And you, too, can experience the same thing. Feel free
to email me and ask me how.
I’ll be happy to tell you.
Have a wonderful day!!!! Shari
