"Choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the LORD.” Joshua 24:15

My Upside Down Life

Well, here I am. Upside down. Yet again. Goodness, I am so tired of being upside down. Or downside up. I just want to sit upright. Erect. Straight. And be done with it already. But…..apparently, the Lord has yet another plan for me. With special and elongated, long and drawn out, emphasis on the word, ‘another.’

Just when life seems to be going in one direction, Kaboom. It stops. Takes a 180 degree turn. A complete turn around. Spring is finally here; summer is just around the corner. The birds are singing. The flowers are blooming. School is out for the summer—at least it is for two of my three children. The beach is calling my name. The grill is heating up, and I can smell the meat. The trailer hitch is ready to hook up the camper. Ah….it’s that time of year. Finally. And then.

That 180 degree turn. Smack dab in the middle of my perfect life. It may look as though it’s turning south, however, my extreme faith tells me it is turning north. Yes. North. Why? Because those with extreme faith, like myself, wholeheartedly rely on Romans 8:28. “And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.”

Notice how it promises ‘to those who love God?’ That’s me. I love God. I’m claiming that promise. I always have. I always will. I'll keep you posted on my progress.

I always have. I always will. By Avalon.

Thanks, and Be Blessed! Shari
