"Choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the LORD.” Joshua 24:15

We're moving in the right direction.

Well, it's 4pm, and we are definitely moving in the right direction. Praise God. Bethany has been resting comfortably (in a dream like state) for a few hours now. That is wonderful, considering that by this time yesterday, she had been screaming her little head off for about 3 hours already. What a difference a day can make. Although they would have never intubated her just to help with her pain, it really can be a blessing to everyone--especially her.

Bethany's heart rate is staying around 89 or 90, which is excellent, and her respiration is constant and slow. Thank God! This means that she is resting and is relatively comfortable. I know that she is soon due for pain medication, and I am merely waiting to speak with a nurse. They have quite a few patients, but are very receptive when we have a question or concern.

Bonnie, Joe, Joy and Heather, have been here virtually all day and that has been really sweet. The room is silent as we are all on our laptops, Ipads, reading, texting, etc. Kind of nice. I was able to sleep quite a bit this afternoon, while everyone else went to the cafeteria. That was nice, too. I definitely feel a lot better. I may not look any better, but at least I feel better.

Well, fellow Prayer Warriors, thank you so very much for praying for Bethany. It's by the Grace of God that she is healing and comfortable. I have so been praying for her complete comfort. I just don't want to see her in any pain whatsoever. We love you all,

Love, Shari and Bethany
